Forgot to Change Address with BON

Nurses General Nursing

I feel foolish for forgetting, but I honestly just forgot to update my address with the SC board of nursing for the past seven months. I did login online and change it a short time ago. I am wondering if I should call and be honest about it in case they had been trying to send me anything. I am not due for renewal so that is not a problem but I have read that if some minor offense or anything really had been reported and you did not receive the correspondence to defend yourself it can result in disciplinary action by default, and that they also do random CEU audits. But then again I don't want to tell on myself unnecessarily and be in trouble for that! I have been told that renewal notifications don't get forwarded but does anyone know if other mail from the BON does? Thanks for any and all help!

Don't ask for trouble. Forwarding orders are good with the Post Office for one year. Had the Board sent you any official correspondence, you would have received it by now.

That's what I was thinking. The thought of anything hindering your license can make you paranoid. Thank you!
