Im a nursing student here in richmond, va; i work at a major hospital here, and my hospital has a facebook page, and they send me messages about open shifts, and meetings and things like that, its really cool, just wanted to know if other places do the same kind of things?:typing
My hospital does after they claimed they couldn't get ahold of me while I was in class. Um, yeah, I had my cell turned off. So I set up an email account just for them.I got reamed by HR and my boss for not being available at all times - they didn't care if I was in the br taking a pee.
Well, it's not like you're on call, is it? Or does your hospital have the assumption that every employee is "on call" and available to work on the hospital's demand.
