Do you need a highschool diploma/ged?

also, do most places have to accept your application for nurse aid class, or are there places you can just pay and not have to be picked?

Depending on what state you are in and what's available to you. I'm not sure if this is still the case, however, I was trained to be a CNA for free in a local nursing home. This was also almost 6 years ago. Things could have changed between now and then. My advice, contact your local Nurse aid registry or board of nursing and see where the approved training courses are for CNA's. Anywhere you go there will be entry requirements, the minimum of which will be high school diploma/GED. If I can help you in any way just send me a PM!

Im only 16. Soo.. i am still in high school. but we have a 'medical highschool', where students go for 3 class periods of our 7 period day. after your second year there, you get trained as a CNA. so, i know some classmates who are 17, about to be a seinor, and have jobs at nursing homes. i cannot go to the medschool, and am just wondering if there is any way i can be a CNA before i graduate.
