Cipro IV infiltration..PLEASE help!

Hello to my fellow nurses! Im having a major concern that I would really appreciate if someone with experience inthis specific situation could answer my question!

ive never had any issues with giving IV's to patients but of course when its my turn to get sick and get some iv treatment for an infection I had.. it goes wrong. :(

i was in the hospital and was getting Cipro IV 400mg. I was in excruciating pain getting it and let the nurse know about it. They left it in my arm :(.

the next iv treatment after this had to be completely stopped when they flushed it because it was so painful. Im convinced the Cipro IV infiltrated. Ever since this one time of Cipro IV ive been having HORRIBLE crushing arm pain sensations itching swelling and strange symptoms. I know and have seen online what infiltration of vesicants can do. My arm is still painful and it has a burning numb sensation but I have no clots on ultrasound. Has anyone seen CIPRO IV infiltrating in patients and if so what happened? Did they have arm amputations or horrible burns?

I would appreciate any experiences youve had with Cipro IV's infiltrating.

Thank you! :(
