I just graduated from a top notch nursing school and lets just say that I know for a fact that you can be a nurse with a felony conviction. Most of my fellow students had ... well... lets just say a HISTORY. Most places have a whole division dedicated to that cause (reviewing the history convivted felons to see if they qualify... so it is not at all uncommon). They tend to be a little more cautious violent crimes. But given the amount of time that Has past, I would tell your mom to go 4 it.

She has been considering a job change, so I suggested nursing as is the field I am going into. But she is afraid that her 20yr old felony conviction will keep her from getting her license. Does anyone have any info on this subject? Or anything that she would need to do? Thanks!
