Published

Hi, my name is Robin. I am a student at the IU School of Nursing. I was just wondering if there are any alums or students here. Or any nurses working in Indiana.

hi, Robin, not an IU alum, Vincennes ADN. I live about 50 mile south of Bloomington.

Hi, actually I live in Indianapolis.

Hi Robin! My name is Jillian, and I am new here, but I am also a nursing student in Indiana. I am attending Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion....just about an hour northwest of indy :)

Specializes in Mental Health.

IPFW Grad - here in Fort Wayne.

hi Robin,

Good to meet you, I'm from Fort Wayne, IU nursing sounds like it has a very good program, sounds challenging, checked it out at one time...[hanging head shamefully] ):imbar I will have a Purdue degree when I'm finished! (I come from an "IU" family  )

Welcome Jillian, I've been to IWU quite a few times, back when my best friend went there a several years ago, there was only a taco bell in the gas station...yikes! Marion sure has grown since then! What hospital will you get to do clinicals at?

See you guys on the board!

Hi,

I'm a U of I grad, and I live in the Indianapolis area. Are you working anywhere right now?

Good luck with school!

:)

Specializes in Medical/Surgical, PACU, ICU, and Psych.

hi leslie!! yes, marion has definitely grown!! and so has iwu! we do our clinicals at marion general hospital, colonial oaks nursing home, the VA, and some at Ball memorial. so far, the VA is my favorite!

hope you have a great day!

Hi Robin...I'm nursing student at Ivy Tech State College...Valparaiso Campus.......graduate in December 2002 as an LPN.....plan to go on and get my ADN the following year.

Specializes in Critical Care, Emergency, Infusion.

Hi, Robin and other Hoosiers!

I graduated in 1995 from IU School of Nursing in Indianapolis and am currently working in a cath lab in Columbus, IN.

Robin, are you in the ADN or BSN program? Just wondering if any of my old instructors are still around.

Just my experience (you didn't ask, but I feel like sharing!) -- I have worked the big hospitals (Methodist and Wishard) and the small (Columbus Regional) and prefer the small! The staffing is not as desperate AND people are actually nice to each other!

Hugs and best wishes in your new career!
