Hey everyone! Has anyone heard of the company NSI Nursing solutions. They posted an ad for a $20,000 incentive bonus in florida. Just curious if it is okay or for real.....

NSI appears to be an employment agency, specializing in placements for nurses and healthcare administrators. If you're interested, call them and get more information.

As to the $20,000 bonus ... what always has to be remembered is that people pay such bonuses because they have to. Facilities that offer such bonuses are having trouble getting people to work there. Before you sign up, find out why they are having trouble getting nurses at such a place. Make sure you know exactly what kind of commitment is involved. Find out how the bonus will be paid out, and what you would owe back if you break the contract.

If I were considering going to such a facility, I would encourage you to visit and tour the place (even at your own expense) before signing a contract. And having an attorney check out the contract might not be a bad idea, too.

There's nothing wrong with such an incentive bonus, and it's not an unheard of amount, but you should go into a situation with your eyes open.

I agree. hubby and I are moving to Tx and oone hosp there is offering 20k for a sign on and 24k if you agree to work nights. You can bet were gonna find out why. Let us know how it works out.

Beware of sign on bonuses even if the unit seems ok. I have heard of companies that always find an excuse to let the nurse go before the bonus kicks in.

Especially in Florida. Check out this deal with a fine tooth comb, because there is a big catch somewhere.

I got a letter too from NSI. This time it is $25k to work at Odessa, TX. The hospital is Medical Center Hosp. This is our neighbor hosp. I am calling them to check on this offer. $25k is still $25k.

Anybody got this offer?
