May 20, '03Joined: Mar '03; Posts: 1,021; Likes: 808I wasn't required to wear a cap (1985-1987) during nursing (LVN) school or even at graduation. Funny thing was that another school was at the same hospitals at the same time-they had to wear not only caps, but blue striped 'student' uniforms.
As for whites, after I went to the ICU in 1993 I swore I'd never wear whites again. All floor jobs since then have allowed , thankfully.
