Any Chicago area RNs?

Hello! It's been a while since I posted here but the advice is always great so here it is. I am wondering if there are any RNs working for Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago or Heartcare Centers of Illinois that could share their hiring experiences with me. I've applied to these 2 places and the waiting is killing me... I applied about over a month ago. Thank you!!

I'm in Illinois also. I have not worked for the two employers you speak of. I hope you hear from them. Chicago has a very competitive nursing market. I've noticed some salary predictions on-line for the area, but due to the oversupply of nurses in the area, I feel salaries are lower than predicted. I applied to Rush-Presbyterean awhile back and the next day received notification on their website "more qualified candidates" which is odd because the ad on their website and other job websites continued for weeks after my application. I'm sure employers wait for just the right candidate when they have so many applicants to choose from. However, you may have the experience Lurie Children's hospital or HeartCare centers is looking for. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, I received a decline email today from Lurie's. I'm so bummed but determined to keep trying. Hopefully I hear back from Heart Care. UGHHHHH..
