Need advice and fast!!! Accepted a job offer as as an RN in Dallas. On first day of orientation I had another job offer in another hospital and it's my dream job and really want to accept it. How can I get out of my contract without blacklisting myself? Should I talk to the HR recruiter and explain the situation? Has anyone been in this position? Concerned it might flag up with the company that does the background checks?

If you signed a contract that you don't intend to honor, you need legal advice, not nursing advice. Do a search for "Group One Texas" on this site and see what pops up. You may be right to be concerned.

Good luck!
