There are no other books to prepare for the CRNE other than the ones you refer to with the practice questions. It's assumed that you have obtained the knowledge already in your nursing education programmes and therefore need practice interpreting the questions. You would need to find nursing textbooks in each of the subspecialties for you to learn the required knowledge, not a CRNE book.

Your questions are rather confusing. I'm referring to the one above and the one that was in your report to staff:

"Thank you for your suggestion. But can you introduce me some books about the textbooks?"

There are no "books about textbooks". So I'm not sure what it is you're asking.

You cannot pass or even be given eligibility to write the CRNE unless you have successfully completed a registered nurse education programme, and having done that you should already have the nursing textbooks I mentioned, or remember which ones you used in school to complete your education. These textbooks would include "fundamentals of nursing", medical-surgical nursng, mental health nursing, pediatrics and maternal-child nursing as well as nursing ethics. Which textbooks did you use in nursing school to learn each of these areas? Those are the ones you should be reviewing to study for the CRNE. Then use the prep guide to practice interpreting and answering the questions used in the format CNA uses. This will be more difficult if your first language is not English because reading comprehension is a large part of the examination process. Have you read the stickies

These will answer many of your questions.

Hi,I am so sorry about making the confusing.I am a Chinses girl.My textbook of nursing includes all of them which you have mentioned above ,except the nursing ethics. But they are all printed with Chinese. So I can not use them to review the knowledges with the CRNE book.By the way ,I have bought two books named Lippincott's CRNE Prep Guide and Study Guide Medical Surgical Nursing in Canada. But all of them only include the practices without relevant knowledges. So I do not know what is the point which they want me to get.Because of it , I need a book which can provide me all the knowledges(fundamentals of nursing", medical-surgical nursng, mental health nursing, pediatrics and maternal-child nursing and nursing ethics) which the CRNE requires. And I can use this book to study the kownledges first. After I learn all the knowledges by this book,I can review them by the two books which I have bought.

Thank you.And I have read all the stickies. They are very useful.Do you know that there is few information about the CRNE in China, but a lot of about NCLEX.So I have looked for the information about the CRNE for a long time.I also have see the offical web site of the CNA.But there is not enough. But what the stickies you suggested me to read are very clear and detailed. The information was written by a person who was standing on the nurses shoeses. So they are useful enough to me.

Thanks again.

I realized immediately that you are Chinese.

There really are no books such as you describe, that contain the entire knowledge base of a professional nurse. The information you need is in your Chinese textbooks; what you need is someone to help you translate the information into English and help you understand it in English so that you can apply the knowledge to the questions on the CRNE. As for the nursing ethics, I suspect you will need to do some reading on the subject because it really is an important measure for Canadian nurses. The CNA has a number of publications on the CNA Code of Ethics.

I'm glad you found the stickies to be helpful. I recognized a need for concise and easily located information due to the number of internationally-trained nurses suddenly expressing interest in migrating to Canada when the door to the US slammed shut. The lack of information on the CRNE and abundance of NCLEX information in China aren't a surprise to me because the desire to work in Canada is a very new phenomenon. The process of becoming licensed to work in Canada is not easy, it's not quick and it's not cheap. I have not lived through the process myself as I've been a Canadian all my life. What I know about it has been gathered through hours of research on the behalf of others. In return, I request a certain amount of preparation on the part of the person looking for information. I don't think that's too much to ask.

i need a book which can provide me all the knowledges(fundamentals of nursing", medical-surgical nursng, mental health nursing, pediatrics and maternal-child nursing and nursing ethics

if looking for english nursing review books for nursing content, consider those used for us education:

saunders comprehensive review for the nclex-rn examination (saunders comprehensive review for nclex-rn)

nclex-rn review made incredibly easy! (incredibly easy! series)

Hello, you are so kind-hearted.I like you very much.

You are a Canadian,is that right? Do you know what the books do Candian nursing students use to get the knowledges?

Thank you for your suggestion.

Shall I have other choices?Because the book named Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination (Saunders Comprehensive Review for Nclex-Rn) are too detailed. And the book which is called NCLEX-RN Review Made Incredibly Easy includes a lot of practices. Is that right?

So in that case, I want you to introduce me some others ,not with many practices in it.

Thank you.

Liu Shan, there are as many choices for nursing textbooks in Canada as there are schools! Each programme selects the textbooks their professors like best (or have a financial interest in, as in having written a chapter and are getting royalties) or that best suits their own philosophy of nursing. This site http://www.elsevier.ca/Nursing offers a variety of nursing textbook titles that are used in Canadian nursing schools. Be aware that nursing textbooks are VERY expensive here. And I also wouldn't recommend using any kind of NCLEX review book because the CRNE is very different from the NCLEX and there have been a lot of people who were so confused by the differences that they failed the first time they wrote. Not that the information isn't good but it's presented in a different way.

Janfrn, I have see the web site which you gave me.I have choiced two books named

Mosby's Canadian Textbook for the Support Worker, 2nd Edition and Canadian Fundamentals of Nursing, 4th Edition. But I do not know all of them are suitable.I mean I do not know if they are the right books which I described above?

The Mosby's Canadian Textbook for the Support Worker would be a waste of money. There would be very little in it that applies to nursing. The Canadian Fundamentals would be useful, but very basic. You need to select a medicine-surgery text, a maternal-child health textbook, a pediatric nursing text and a mental health nursing text.

Do you mean that there is no book which includes all of the knowledges,so I have to seclect somes books which include the knowledges which I should know?
