So I'm 17 and I quit my job. It's nothing special just a normal part time job don't want to get into why but will this hurt me from becoming a nurse because I basically just left.

Dude/Dudette, you're 17. Teenagers do things adults don't do and you're talking about an adult job...nursing. Don't sweat it. And stop quitting jobs without giving respectable notice. You're OK. Chill out. Find a mentor to give you some guidance. Some adult that has it together. Can't wait to hear what you end up being! Peace!

Probably not ...but a stable work history may work to your benefit when trying to find a job as a new graduate. You may also find that you have the same problems from one job to the next because of some fundamental part of who you are and how you react to things. If that's the case, you'll want to work on improving before you move on to having a "real" job.

And of course, unethical or criminal behavior is fully capable of following you. That goes without saying, though.

Hey to tell you the truth, a 17 year old with some form of work experience is the foundation of a responsible adult. Some kids don't start working until they exhaust their birthday money "savings" or parent's money. Will this hurt your chances of becoming a nurse? ABSOLUTELY....not. Take a step back, sit down and create a roadmap on how to reach your nursing goals. Then get after it.

Side Story:

I also did leave without notice at my first retail job that I started working at 16. After 5 years I just got tired of the drama and unprofessionalism. One day after work, I just got on my motorcycle and rode into the sunset listening to Metallica and never looked back.
