I just took the boards yesterday, and I am freaking out. I went all the way to the end. Does that mean I failed? Does anyone know someone who took the boards, went all the way to the end and passed. Please help,
thanks, June

Hi June,
Going all the way to 265 definitely does not mean that you failed. The number of questions does not determine passing or failing- so it is hard to tell...
I don't personally know anyone who has had 265 Q's but there are lots of messages on the boards from people who did pass at 265.
The wait really is difficult, try not to convince yourself of impending doom! Lots of people have recommended looking at www.caring4you.net
It's a web site with detailed info about NCLEX and lots of messages from people who did go to the end and otherwise. Good Luck!!

I personally know two people who had 265 questions and they both passed. Don't freak out. Just stay positive.
It's really hard to stay positive. Last night I had the worst dream. I dreamt that I failed the exam and the worst was that I failed by one question. I thought I was bad before, but it's even worse now. And it's only been 6 days. Oh well, what do they say..patience is a virtue. The wait is going to kill me. Thanks for the advice and the response. June
Hi again June,
Just saw your post. The waiting really is hard. All I can say is, try to remember to eat and breathe...I had dreams that my ncelx was in chinese, and everyone else had english and they all asked me what is was that I didn't understand, they kept saying ( in my dream) the test was so easy.. and I kept saying I couldn't understand the questions!!! Luckily, my test was in english. Try to get a good book to read, which is not about nursing (or it will focus you right back on boards)and hopefully you won't have much longer to wait. Holly
GEEZ!!!
How long does it take to get your results back? I think I am going to get an ulcer from the waiting? No reply necessary - just get a LITTLE anxious? Can anyone tell?
June
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you. The waiting can seem like forever, but wait til you have a twelve hour shift with 7-8 patients. Now that's what seems to take forever!!! Don't stres too much. Let us know how you did. Diane
I just wanted to let those know who responded to my worries...I PASSED!!! YEAH!!!
Thank you to Holly and Diane for your good advice and kind words. They really helped.
Congratulations!!!!! Go out and have some margaritas- or whatever it is you like!!!!! What are your future plans, Ms. June, RN??? We would love to have you come work for us in NC. SO glad to hear of your success!
Well... you go Girl! I had a great feeling about you, and just knew you had done fine. You just make sure next year when you see a post on the BB about 265 questions, that you respond and tell that nurse not to worry and that you can pass with 265 questions. Did you use the official R.N. initals after your name at work today? There's no feeling like that in the world. Congratulations!!!
