I think that it is fairly self-explainitory. If you have experience in these areas, then I would go ahead and take the Excelsior exams as then you will be sure that you have satisfied these requirements to thier satisfaction. Otherwise, I would take these classes at a local community college or something like that.

"Sciences supporting of Nursing" can be biology, nutrition, and so on. Pick something you like and are interested in but be sure to call Excelsior prior to paying for the class to be sure that it meets the requirement.

For me, I had a BA in another disipline so it cancelled all these out right away.

To add: When planning the classes that I would take, I would include nutrition, ethics, and statistics. These are the courses that are generally required if you decide to move towards a BSN at some point.

I have quite a few gen eds to fullfill as well, i decided to clep life span development, humanities, and i'm going to take info lit through penn foster. A&P, Micro will be taken through EC's exams as well as the nursing exams of course.

I submitted transcripts fromt the schools I had attended in the past and covered all the bases with the standard, run of the mill courses that I had already done. If you do the standard choices at a community college, such as intro psych, sociology, US history, speech, art history, music appreciation, philosophy, etc., you will find that you have hit most, if not all of your requirements. Pretty standard everywhere.
