Anybody else going to be applying? I'm a long shot because I'm applying without all my courses completed, they will be done in the Spring.
My advisor is ------------- as well but I have not received an email. I am a current GCU student. This is my second semester at GCU and I did Phoenix College before that. I transferred to GCU before I applied because they usually give preference to GCU students. According to my advisor, there is roughly double the amount of accepted applicant into each cohort. Let's say St. Joes has 50 applicants that want to apply. They say anywhere from 8-15 do not complete the application. So you're competing for 20-25 spots with 30-42 ppl typically. St. Joes I've heard is competitive but speaking to my advisor, the accepted gpa for the previous semester there was very low (like 3.2).
I heard GCU students get preference as well! I just transferred from ASU, so fingers crossed it all works out!! I also was told that a good amount of people who do get in sometimes don't go through with the program because they can not pay, or financial aid falls through, and also a lot of students do not finish their pre reqs in time before the summer start date!
So, I just got a call that notified me about an appointment tomorrow to talk about next semesters schedule. I told them that is kind of odd since I have yet to find out if I'm into the program yet which my schedule would look much different if so. So I'm hoping that's a good sign saying that I need to pick my class schedule for my core nursing classes.
