GCU Summer 2015 hopefuls!

Hello GCU summer applicants!

I figured someone else would have started a thread by now, but since they haven't I figured I would since the deadline is approaching in less than 2 weeks! I just wanted to know how everyone's application experience is going so far? Hopefully we can answer each others questions and this thread can serve as a place to share experiences especially while waiting for decisions.

I have my background check completed, my fingerprinting is in process, and I'm taking the HESI this week. I am super nervous!

I can't wait to hear from any of you who are applying! Don't be shy :) and good luck everyone!

I didn't get an email with that, did everyone who applied for summer get one? They never tell you anything even when you do submit your app to make sure they absolutely have all your stuff and that you're on the applied list. =( starting to wonder if I should just change my major, tired of all the wait lists and just want to start my career.

What does "secondary acceptance" mean?

I haven't gotten an email either and I'm super worried. I want to click that link and just register myself for that info session but it was not sent to me :/

So as I see it, primary acceptance is to GCU, then secondary acceptance is to their nursing school (since everyone has to be accepted into both). Many people didn't get the letter, just email your advisor and they should get someone to send it to you.

Thanks for clarifying! I have emailed and called her. Hopefully she responds soon! I applied for Banner Health

Yes it's secondary because I am a transfer student from ASU to GCU for the Nursing Program. Makes me wonder why haven't we all received it. That's poor customer service, whether you got in or not..:(

I agree :/ Its been so all over the place since December. I've been passed around to different advisors and the application deadline being pushed back. My friend is in the program now and said there had been a ton of changes with administration.

The application deadline got pushed back? Like later than January 15th?

Yes it got pushed to February 1st hence the "new" acceptance date of March 1st and now it's being delayed longer. My app was in Jan 10

Oh okay, Thanks for letting us know! I was a bit confused by the March 1st date in the email, since I thought the deadline was January 15th. I know they pushed the deadline back last year as well, but people still found out around the 20th of February. Like people have been saying on here, I think they have been sorting out some stuff in the administration. So they have reason to push back the decisions, even though it means we will have less time to prepare.

Ya it's just the worst having to wait. I could of prepared myself for a different route but I decided to put all my eggs in one basket 😬 so I'm super anxious

Any news? Anybody's advisor get back to them? I'm tying to stay positive. But some answers would be nice!
