Hello GCU summer applicants!
I figured someone else would have started a thread by now, but since they haven't I figured I would since the deadline is approaching in less than 2 weeks! I just wanted to know how everyone's application experience is going so far? Hopefully we can answer each others questions and this thread can serve as a place to share experiences especially while waiting for decisions.
I have my background check completed, my fingerprinting is in process, and I'm taking the HESI this week. I am super nervous!
I can't wait to hear from any of you who are applying! Don't be shy :) and good luck everyone!
I offered to take a spot wherever they could put me. I can't discuss the emails I have received specifically but my guess is they have had more than expected apply from GCU. Transfer students get spots after their students, I almost spent the money to go for as semester just so I could be in that group. Fortunately for me I have other options. There is definitely a reason that the invites didn't go out. If I get a invite i'll share it.
So this is THE EMAIL... the painful, most unwanted email...
Dear Potential Transfer Student,
We have received your application for secondary acceptance in to the Pre-licensure Nursing program at Grand Canyon University for the Summer semester.
We are contacting you because the Summer Acceptance decisions will not be announced on

The College of Nursing will be hosting an information session on Friday, March 27, 2015 to update all potential candidates for the Summer and Fall semesters. We encourage you to attend one of these sessions to learn more about the revised acceptance timeline for transfer students:
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
We understand the time sensitive nature of this decision and the impact it has on the lives of our applicants. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to progress through the selection process.
We look forward to updating you on March 27, 2015.
Sincerely,

Yeah, that just means they pushed back decisions for whatever reason. It isn't a denial email. They had a lot of problems with their administration this year. They may be understaffed or working on something else. Cheer up. We all got that email. Even current CGU students.

I am an applicant as well, 3.8 GPA and a 96 overall on the Hesi A2 and don't believe I will be admitted based on emails with the school. I was told the spots had all been filled so If I were you I would get all my stuff together and hope for an opportunity to be an alternate for those who are not prepared. I did receive the Webinar email and will watch, however, I have already moved on and will be applying at other schools.
