Hello Everyone,
I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.
look forward to hearing from yall

I have taken the Hesi, and I must say it was pretty easy. Just make sure you know your fractions, there was a lot of those on the math portion! I am also a Boswell Fall 2014 hopeful!! I am doing bio 202, psy 240, and chm 130 this summer... Does anyone happen to know my chances of getting in without these being done before I apply? My science gpa as is stands is 2.75, but will be a 3.2 when my classes are done. My overall GPA for required prerequisite already done is a 3.3. Thanks so much, and good luck!

I'm glad to hear the Hesi was not to bad. Are we able to use a calculator for the math? How about the A&P sections, were they similar to the practice test? And do you mind me asking how they scored the test??? I have so many questions and no one seems to know the answers.
Thank you
I took it a 1.5 years ago.. I don't really remember too much. I just remember not studying and just going in knowing I would fail and at least have an idea of the test... I know sounds crazy huh? Lol, well I got a 89 all the way around on all the parts that really matter. And I'm far from an A student.. If I knew more I would gladly tell you, but I wouldn't stress too much about it. Just study what you are not good at in general and go do it. That's the advice I was given and I did good... Sorry if it's not exactly what you were looking for..
I'm not going to GCU.. I'm applying for the CEP through MCC/Nau in May but I just wanted to throw in my two cents since you were asking about the HESI. It wasn't bad at all! The math section is so super easy. You get a calculator for all of it. I got a 96 on the math portion and math isn't even my strong point, english is. I got a 91 cumulative for the english sections. They sure throw some weird vocab words in there. I took it 2.5 years ago. Try not to stress, I promise it really was not bad at all! GOOD LUCK!! :)
I'm applying Fall 2014 to GCU as well. Although it will be for their Albuquerque, New Mexico campus.
We are all in the same boat as far as prerequisites, HESI, and May 15 deadline.. Etc
I am finishing up my prerequisites now at my local CC.
April 7th I am starting the 8 week Pathophysiology online with Rio Salado.. Anyone else take it there??Can give me some info about it.. I've never ever taken an online class and I'm FREAKING OUT!!! ?
They haven't set up the schedule yet for us to sign up to take the HESI.. But I did buy a study guide on Amazon.. I'm going to study as soon as my CC classes end April 28th and hopefully take it a week or so after that to meet the deadline.
Anyhow.. This is long.. I'll stop now ?
Hmm Patho online might be a little hard, but if you just work super hard, you can do it!! Online classes are more for people who are able to work alone and are more able to get their butts in gear lol. But just think when it's over, it's over and you will have hopefully got accepted!! And all that hard work will have paid off!!

Do not stress to much about the Patho.I took it over the winter in a 3 week class online and got an A. You will do great as long as you can make your self do the work. :-)
Hello. I am brand new here. I will be applying to GCU St. Josephs for fall, 14. Does anyone know much about the reputation of GCU's program? Will it be difficult to find work after graduation? I was told that students who graduate with a BSN have a much better chance than the students who only have ADN. I would love to hear your oppinions.
