Hi all! I didn't see a forum about GCU ABSN program for fall 2022. I am meeting with an advisor over zoom tomorrow to discuss locations and all. Lets connect!

hi ! I’m in the process of taking 2 more prerequisites & need to take my HESI . I plan on starting fall 2022. I live in los angles,CA so I will be moving & I’m super nervous LOL. how did your zoom call go? I have a B.A in psychology, could I chose which location I want to go to? look forward to hearing back from you :)

Oh yay! I'm glad you made this because I will also be in the Fall 2022 cohort! I'm from San Diego, and actually have been living in Phoenix for over two years now LOL.

I'll be at the Sun City/Boswell location! Since I already have a B.S and transferring over credits. Currently taking the last few prereqs over next the couple months and will take the HESI mid-June!

yeah ! I’m going to have to start looking for places to rent soon ! @Cindy Sermonia @anjali_rai99 gonna take my HESI next month.. not sure if I have to fly out to arizona or I can take it at home

I think my advisor said there's a possibility of taking it online! But you'd have to ask your advisor haha. And I can give you recommendations on places to live at!! Rent here is so nice vs California

I would love recommendations!  I’m having a hard time choosing where to find a nice place that’s not too expensive ?

Haha no worries! Rent has definitely gone up this last year but still fairly affordable in some places if you don't mind the drive.

The more cheaper area would be glendale, peoria, youngtown, el mirage, Avondale/Tolleson(a little further drive but still a decent area than the others) area.

If you're looking for a quiet, decent, more of a drive but a little more pricey-- Goodyear/Litchfield park, surprise, north peoria, norterra, desert ridge area. These areas are about 20-30min drive from the ABSN campus in Sun City.

Overall, if you worry about crime rate and such-- I'd suggest staying out the perimeter of the 101 loop and stay north of the I-10 (El mirage, youngtown, surprise, goodyear, etc.)

@Cindy Sermonia ! So I just got off the phone with my advisor & he told me the sun city location is already full !! ? I’m taking 2 prerequisite through them right now & still need my HESI done. I’m so sad LOL tucson is father away & flights are more expensive .. I’m now looking into Las Vegas as well but they require an extra prerequisite

Ughhh that's frustrating I'm sorry!! What's the extra pre-req for the LV location?

Hello, is anyone going to Tucson for fall?

I have all my prerequisites done and the HESI done. Just need to finish Christian worldview in July. 
 

excited to move to Tucson from California but nervous because the secondary review decision is not out yet ?
