Hey All,
I thought I'd create a thread for future LPN applicants awaiting admission for, hopefully, the Fall 2016 cohort.
I was hoping for a lucky spring 2016 spot, but oh well..., so here's to hoping for this fall.
I finished a nursing assistant course at Paradise Valley Community College and submitted my PN application on 12/7/2015. So I thought others can share their "patience" on here like me.
@stephanie i requested for the day program, I've put up with so much evening classes I honestly want to do the daytime now. Evening has labs scheduled Saturdays and I honestly would like the weekends available to study.
@dasdamo4 The email stated they have 64 seats available and the top 64 applicants are being notified in this email. It seems like I got offered placement. My preferred schedule though was not a guarantee. So if other people who waited longer then me request day, than I'd be stuck with evening.
@michelly Awesome! Did u receive a similar email?! Which is your preferred schedule? Early June isn't too far :) she did mention that at that time students would be able to defer if they requested. Glad that we finally heard something. I'm ready to get going lol. When did u apply?
@dasdamo :/ don't think about that just yet. They still haven't given students the deferred option yet. The email did state that placement may continue up until the first day of class. I was also reading previous posts about students who got accepted during summer time. I wonder how many applications go in each month. You mentioned you placed yours in November right? Mine was in Oct. end of Oct.
@michelly Way earlier than mine lol! I'm sure you will more then likely get ur preferred schedule. I placed mine end of Oct. Do u plan on continuing for RN?
Hey, all. I also received confirmation for the Fall. My application was submitted in Sept. I was going through the advanced placement application (to be sure all the pre's and co's are done) and I'm curious...
it it says we need to apply to block 3 within 9 months of completing the lpn-but rumor is schools are wait listing 1 year out. ???
Also, it requires our hesi scores within the 24 mo timeframe. What if we're shy a month because we've been wait listed.
😩😩I don't want to do the hesi again.

Unless the advanced placement packet has been updated after June 2015, section 6 says LPN transfer students applying into Block 3 must have Hesi A2 scores that are good within the 2 years as well as THE SECOND Hesi LPN to RN scores (above 850). It also says that we need to be within 9 months of completing the LPN program.
This is so discouraging.

Wait so they didn't offer you placement quite just yet then?
