Hello everyone! ! I will be starting Galens Online Hybrid program on July 7th. Im just curious if theres anyone else starting too.

Is it known way in advance what chapters we would need to read?

No, not unless you can get the syllabus. From past experience, the courses do not open up on canvas until 3 days prior to the start date. What class are you trying to get an head start on?

I'm trying to start in October but I have many pre reqs. I was just wondering because of what you said about reading those chapters

Oh ok. Well once the qtr starts it will be posted and every week there is a new module that you will click on to get your assignments and watch the power point videos. I like Canvas a lot, it's user friendly and the clarity is nice as well. I would not worry about the pre-reqs as far as a lot of reading.. I heard that A&P 1&2 required a lot of reading, but not so much of the others. I was really referring to the Nursing courses.

Ok, tomorrow is orientation for Cincinnati Galen...I'm getting nervous and I'm way excited that I am finally taking the plunge. Trish, when do you have orientation for July?

Hope your orientation went well! I'm getting soooo nervous about class starting next Monday...I still have to buy a couple of books, but other than that I'm ready. I think... :wacky:

Orientation went well. I'm super excited to start on Monday as well. I'm just nervous about taking applied mathematics online. I've never taken math online before.

I'm taking the applied math this quarter also...I've taken one math class online but it was lower level, so I'm nervous about trying to learn math that I've never come in contact with before. My coworker, who is a quarter ahead of me said it was pretty difficult. :unsure:

My schedule is A&P I (lab on Mondays), Applied Math, and the Information Technology class. They told us our online classes would be loaded into Canvas today but so far, nothing. I'm going to try to get ahead of my A&P reading this holiday weekend.

I waited much longer than I should have (5yrs) to go back for my RN and now I can't believe it's here! Go us!!

I waited 4 years myself. Those are the exact reasons I'm nervous. I'm taking applied math, info tech, and LVN to RN transition.

Did my online orientation today and turned in my other transcripts . Waiting on the decision to start in October :) How has the tests and everything been?
