Hi! I'm starting the online hybrid in July also! I met with all the departments and signed a bajillion papers yesterday.
I'm a little overwhelmed today about it, though...going back for my ADN has been a long time coming.
Good to know I'm not the only one here that's starting in July, though! We'll have to be support buddies for the next 18 months!
Yay!! So glad to finally hear back from someone. We can definitely be support buddies. I'm excited and nervous about starting too!

I start the 4th QTR in July. The past 9 months have flown by!! This upcoming qtr I take Maternity an Mental health, I am happy they accepted my micro because I did not want to take that again.
The hybrid program is pretty intense! There is a lot of reading and posting that is required. When I started the program I thought is was going to be a walk in the park, but honestly... The biggest thing is trying to change the way you think. I know we all are nurses and think like nurses, but thinking like a registered nurse is a new ball game. I hope you guys enjoy your first two qtrs, but once that third qtr comes around, be focused!!! The first week you have 10-12 chapters in pharm and 7-10 chapters in med surg, and it doesn't let up! This past week we had an exam EVERYDAY on campus. Thankfully I passed all of them, but there are about 4 people that I know of who did not pass this qtr. I don't want to scare you guys at all.. It's all about dedication, time management and focusing. I am learning soo much and I am happy with my decision on choosing Galen, I hope you guys do as well! Let me know if you guys have any questions!
SN: sorry for any typos!!

No. There are 4 exams and a HESI. The first exam is in the first month, the second is in the second month. The final month we had the Hesi on a Thursday then the third exam that next Monday. If you scored high enough on your Hesi you do not have to take the fourth exam, which was on the Wednesday. I scored a 99.99% on my Hesi so I did not take the 4th one. So the days that were left were Tuesday and Thursday.. Those exams was for med surg, we had CPE check off on IV insertion one day and then our final exam on the other day.

Is it known way in advance what chapters we would need to read?
