Okay, I have gained so much weight this past semester while finishing up prereqs. I will be starting an RN program in January (yay!) and was curious as to whether anyone has had issues with gaining weight during school or if perhaps its easier to lose once in nursing school? I would think with clinicals and moving around more, it would be easier to lose.
Just curious as to others' experiences. I am frustrated right now, lol.
Ive stayed about the same. Im a senior and I get to the gym during the semester at least four days a week. And on vacation its usually six. I manage about an hour of cardio then a half hour of weights. I also have a boyfriend, a part time job and excellent grades. Anyone who says they dont have time for the gym is making excuses and well a little lazy. Im not super woman! Ive made my health a major priority my whole life. Plus exercising relieves alot of stress and becomes quite addicting!!
I have lost weight. Before nursing school I was a sahm, watching Food Network, baking and cooking all day so food was a big focus in my life. Now that I have a life outside the house, food isn't so important to me. For the first time in a long time, I dont' care that much about food. I lost 22 lb simply by eating less. I try to make healthy choices probably 75% of the time but I also have built in rewards like 4 bites of really rich chocolate cake each day.
