I am a newly licensed lpn but havent officially started working yet but, I will be here in a couple of days. On their faq page it gives what you need to transfer the license but, when you go to the application page it says you need to have 500 of documented time within the last 5 yrs preceding licensure; of course since I just got licensed in early Feb 06, I dont have the time in yet. Does anybody know if they would hold me to the 500 hr rule if I've not started working as of yet?

I'm in SC not GA but usually the work time hours required doesn't come into play until renewal time which in my state is every two years. Read over the GA board site and I think you will see what I mean.

Hi! I moved your post to the GA State Forum for better exposure.
I do believe you will just need to get your license by endorsement.

NEVERMIND! I did more searching and found the policies of the board and how they are written on their site. What it is actually saying is: a person may endorse and proceeding the date of the application, you must provide one of the following with the application (1) 3 months or 500 hrs of paid lpn work within the last 5 yrs proceeding the date of the ap (2) a graduate of an approved program within 5 years of the date of the application.
So, thank you to the moderators!
