Hello all,
Anyone who has applied to el centro nursing program for spring 08...has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet???
Let me know what info you have...thanks
The last time I talked to Kanora in May and she said it was a pre-req. She also mentioned that at ab information session at Northklake.I have having to take this class because it only has a one year time limit.I'am retaking it just in case i dont get accepted b/c by the time i apply again thw class will be a year old.
I took the course b/c it was listed in the packet as a pre-req. How did you find out that it has a 1 year time limit? Has anyone heard what the gpa's looked like last semeter.
There was someone in my HPRS class in July that said he was excepted for the fall with a 3.5. Kanora said since having the HESI test there have not been as many applicants.
As far as I know HPRS is a prereq. But who knows.
The last information sesson I went to Kanora said that the HPRS class has only a 1 year time limit. I took Hprs last semester spring, and so now for falll I'am also re-taking it just in case i dont get accepted. That way since my current Hprs class expires in spring 08, i would have the new class. Its hard to explain, but honestly i think its such a stupid rule. Also at my orientaton for the HPRS class i asked one of the teachers and she said it did have a 1 year time limit.
Good luck to all of you!
Make sure to visit the 4 other ECC/NLC threads in the general nursing student forum! :) ......Lots of info to be had, and lots of questions can be answered, from 4th semester all the way down to 1st!
3.5? That's insane! I think we had a 3.7 limit, the semester before had a 4.0. I had to retake my Algebra, then applied with a 4.0/4.0 and the limit went down to 3.7. lol ...My luck! :)
HPRS, to my knowledge is a required course now, but you need to to double check with Kanora. It may still be overlooked until it's been a way of doing things for several semesters.
