Future NICU nurse!!

I just had my first ever new grad interview and it was in the NICU at a level 1 trauma hosptial where I live. The NICU is a level 3 and there are two Intermediate Care Nurseries which are considered level 2.

I was nervous as all get out going into the interview but once I sat down and started talking to the manager, I felt so much at ease!!

I came in with a list of questions and even told the manager that I had done research for the job since my experience with peds is quite limited.

When we ended the interview, she told me that she wanted to get "us" in as quickly as possible so we can get into the NCLEX review class that the hospital puts on for all new grads hired on.

It went so well and with that statement and other things said, I really feel like I landed the job and am so excited to get hired on so quickly in an economy like this!!!!

She said that she will call me TODAY to let me know for sure because she wants to get us on ASAP!!!

Those are all good signs and I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

Have you heard back??

I'm a new graduate that has my interview in the NICU on June 2nd. There's really no where else I want to work other than NICU.

I really hope you got the job. I know what it's like to KNOW where you belong as a nurse and to want a job sooooo badly!
