Furious prof can't find my midter

Published

I am so fed up with the entire educational system. Every semester I feel like I am walking on eggshells Hoping everything will go fine

this is my last semester and I will be done with my prereqs and you know what just happened? I took a class online and went to check my grades only to see a BIG FAT ZERO next to my midterm grade

okay so I email the professor and ask why did I get a zero and we go back and forth for a frigging hour In email before he believes that I am a legitmate student of his

FINALLY he tells me that I got a zero because he didn't receive my midterm

I sent proof that I sent it and I'm staring at the midterm I posted on the other browser. So I posted the receipt that shows it was posted and he still claims he didn't get it. I emailed him again posting the receipt

an hour went past and no response

I am in tears. The online class only has two tests and there is no way I am going to pass if he can't find my midterm

I will not accept a failing grade just what should I do? Should I go to the school and complain

right now I am so fed up with college that I feel like dropping out. So tired of feeling so vulnerable all the time

I have been stationed by the computer all day stressing out over this. I have been going back and forth in email since 12 this afternnoon (it takes him hours to get back to me) I just don't know what to because if I fail I lose financial aid and go on academic probation I need all the support I can get. I was so upset that I couldn't even spell the title right

that he asked you for your password really bothers me. that just is not done!!! he gets information regularly on how each student is doing. change your password to something completely different!

he wasn't unethical, but he just didn't use good common sense.

please don't give up taking online courses because of this one individual. my mom used to tell me not to let someone who had upset me rent space inside my head. if you stop enrolling in online courses, that's exactly what you're doing. that gives him a lot of power over you that he shouldn't have.;)

I know online classes are sometimes such a huge pain. I took one this summer and it was amazing, the professor was quick to email me back, he was fair in grading, very helpful, very good on planning and giving us time to do the assignments... but then my next class is with a professor I have taken before, he is lazy, does not update assignments from year to year, he puts things up late so we therefore have less time to get them done, and he already barely gives us enough time to do all he assigns us.

Basically, there are good online professors, and there are bad online professors, you may want to see if you can take a class with a professor in-class first and then later if they instruct online classes, take it with the professor you have had before, this way you can pull out the "I was in your ANTH 1100 class," and they have more of a connection with you.

I am glad everything turned out well in the end for you.
