Funding for nursing school! Help!!

Greeting! My name is Terence. I am a college graduate looking to get into the nursing field. I am a 25 year old African American male. Can anyone give me some advice where I can find grants or scholarships. I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! :cry:

Hi terence. I have 2 previous bachelor's degress, and have found NO scholarships for which I qualify. Loans are the only thing available for me.

Do you fill out a FAFSA every year? That's a good place to start. Most schools have a list of grants and scholarships that you can apply for, through the financial aid office. Good luck!

If you have a bachelor's, try finding a Master's-Entry program. If you go that route, you can get Federally-backed GradPLUS loans. Yeah, you (or the hospital who hires you :-D) will have to pay them off, but it's better than private loans.
