anybody find this book helpful at all/ I beleive its helpful with my critcal thinking

some test questions from my 1st semester (Basics) came straight from that book.

however, the library has several copies. i didn't want to pay the $50 for the book. Never used it again after 1st semester.

Hi, The book is very helpful. The book does not cost 50.00. Depending if you get it new or used- I guess you can get it anywhere from 5.00 to as much as 30.00. Check the website http://www.alibris.com

There are great deals on all of the books on this site.

And yes, some of the questions (not many) have come from this book. BUt moreso, it helps you understand and be prepared for the style of questions. Many, many people find this to be the hardest thing about the tests.

the book name is fundamentals success by patricia nugent and barbara vitale

there are 2 isbn numbers on the book:

13:978-0-8036-1056-9 and 10:0-8036-1056-4

the title of the 4th edition has changed to Test Success.
