I kind of doubt it, but that would be great if that was the case! And if American nurses are excluded, I would want to know why they are willing to put international nurses through advanced schooling, but not American nurses. Interesting, very interesting. I will have to check this out more when I am more awake.
sorry to burst people's bubbles.
scholarship is mostly for international nurses who come to us for 2-3 yrs to earn msn degree, get to work part time while going to school and then must return to own country upon completion program. very limited opportunities as relying on student visa's which are in short supply...
see our previous thread:
info on global scholarship alliance - 18th jan, 09:35 am - nursing ...
Intent is:
a. to help solve "staffing shortage" areas
b. educate RN's for advance degree...one way nurses can get visa to stay in US longer than few months with current regression.
c. enrich one's practice so they can return to own country/area and elevate practice standards there
d. only able to work 20hrs/wk due to immigration regs and need for study as FT college student. Not too many in US willing to relocate for 2 yrs and have limited income opportunity
e. Biggest requirement: 2 year work experience.
No commitment to work after you graduate because VISA program foreign RN's enter US under requires one to return to home country upon completion of education and unable to reenter US for 2 years....
Neveranurseagain, RN

I saw this is aimed at international nurses but I wonder if it is open to American Nurses too. A fully pd scholarship in exchange for working at a US hospital for 3 years. The name of the company is Global Scholarship Alliance. http://www.globalscholarship.net/
