Hey, everyone! I am new to this site, and am looking for others in the same boat as me! I am just getting ready to submit my applications for Fall 2016. So far I am applying to two schools, one being FTCC. Is anyone else applying to Fayetteville Tech for Fall 2016? I'm trying to see about where I might stand...what is the max number of points we can have towards admission (including the 15 bonus points we can get at the information session)...is it 95?
Hey guys, I'm class president of Fayetteville techs current senior class! We graduate in May! It's a great program, and it's typically not as hard to get into as they make it seem to be. As long as you are a qualified applicant, chances are you will get in. Staying in is the hard part. We started with about 90, and our class is now down to 34. It's a tough program, but I have learned so much and I actually feel well prepared to work. Good luck to all of you!
I know they have already made changes, but when I was in 1st semester in fall 2014 we had clinical one day a week. It was 8-11 class, with lab in the afternoon, and one day of clinical. Every semester after that is two class days, two clinical days. Then the last semester we had class 4 days/week for the first 6 weeks, now we are precepting and spend our time completing 240 hours of 12 hours shifts at the hospital with a nurse that works there, and our teachers come and check on us once a week.
Hello! This is the first time I have seen a current post on here for ftcc. I also applied and received my HARF, i am so excited to move forward with the next step. When I was at the information session I spoke with the dean of health admissions and she made it seem like as long as you have you pre-reqs and the other classes you had a good chance. She said being a category 1 applicant is a very reassuring step. I am so hopeful! I feel like I constantly check my email for our counseling session!
I'm so glad there are more people here...hopefully we'll be classmates soon!! Thank you to all of the people posting about their experiences! All I've heard is that it's a second rate program, but I felt it couldn't be if people were becoming nurses! I check my email all the time! I can't wai for the next step!!
