Hello everyone. So I'm in a bit of a pickle and seriously need some advice! I've been accepted to a full time lpn program in LI and recently found out that my job will not allow me to work under 20 hrs. So I'm now in the process of looking for a new job before I start school in sept and was seeking advice on what would be the best type of pt job to have after 3pm. I basically have 6 weeks to find a new job. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Can you work from home? They don't pay much maybe $9-$10/hr. I've worked for teletechjobs.com they're usually seasonal though...and there is alpineaccess.com, with them you commit to a year. You can also look into 1800flowers.com and uhaul.com I know they hire work from home. I know that ups hires part time nights also, but I don't know where they hire in LI. I hope this helps :)
Thanks so much. It does help. I'll definitely look into it!! :)

Try being a resident care assistant in an assisted living facility. The pay isn't awesome either, but it will offer afternoon/midnight shift and you will have your foot in the door once you pass your boards.
You are very welcome :) Good Luck!!

If you're a CNA you could find a PRN night shift job somewhere. If not, becoming a certified caregiver doesn't take much (weekend class here in AZ), and there are home health agencies and even facilities that prefer them over CNAs, so you might be able to find some evening/night shifts that way.

My job also told me i have to be able to give them at least 20 hours as well, i dont know how flexible your job is with hours, but If you can try to stay at your current job then stay I feel like taking on a new job in a new environment is going to add to your stress level and that's the last thing you need. just give them their 20 hours but no more. I told my job that I will not be available to work Monday - Thursday so that way I can concentrate on my schooling and nothing else. I plan to work after class on Friday 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM, I'm giving them 8 hours Saturday and 8 hours Sunday but that's it. If the issue is that your job isn't flexible with hours look into a part time position in retail. I currently work in retail and my job is awesome with giving me days off when I need off and accommodating my availability. Hope this helped !
Thanks so much for ur advice. Yea I might just have to look for either retail or maybe waitressing/Bartending
