FSW Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Formerly Edison state college.

Who is planning to enroll in the nursing program for Spring 2016?

So who is joining me? It's going to be a long process and I simply can not wait to get into the nursing program.

I hope to apply into Lee and get. I haven't taken my HESI yet out of nerves, but have to swallow that pill soon in order to apply.

There is an amazing app called HESI A2 pocket prep, it is $9.99 but worth it. It has almost 2,000 questions and I found it extremely convenient and helpful. I spent hours and hours using it. I used that in addition to the book they sell at the school. I got a 93.67% I studied for about 2 weeks.

Thanks I'll check it out. What sections did you have to take?

How many questions?

What happens if you fail a portion of the HESI? Do they look at that or just the combined scores?

The Hesi isn't as dreadful as most perpetuate it to be. The Anatomy is tricky because the use terms like "crop" that you simply aren't taught in A & P. The math is on a middle school level. Biology can be kind of tricky. Just know different functions of micro organisms and the different stages of mitosis and meiosis.

Unfortunately, I am not sure. All I know is that you need to have a 74% overall to be able to apply.

I would assume that they don't have time to look at each section and that they likely look at the cumulative score.

I would call and ask to be sure.

What campus did everyone apply to? (:

I applied to lee first, collier, then Charlotte

I applied to lee 1st and charlotte 2nd

I'm so ready to hear back from them! The real excitement is hitting me because it can be anywhere from now to the 13th that we find out. I believe we will find out sooner though. I have read previous threads and if I'm remembering correctly, some found out as soon as a week after the application deadline. I guess they start from the top scores and move down the list, so those in the 90s and high 80s should be the first notified. Goodluck to all. Let's keep this thread active to pass the time :)
