FSW Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Formerly Edison state college.

Who is planning to enroll in the nursing program for Spring 2016?

So who is joining me? It's going to be a long process and I simply can not wait to get into the nursing program.

I hope to apply into Lee and get. I haven't taken my HESI yet out of nerves, but have to swallow that pill soon in order to apply.

Hello everyone,

I am also looking forward to spring 2016, I haven't taken the HESI yet thinking of August. Wanted to know is anyone sending in their application without completing all their pre-requisite?

Hi mlegagneur

I will be sending without A&P2

That's Awesome. Yea I am so nervous to take it, but planning on taking it in August and September.

Hi, do you know what sections required on FSW Hesi? Is where chemistry and physics?

Anatomy and bio no chemistry or physics

No. I'm submitting it with all completed. Sorting an issue out with the registrars but hopefully they don't drop the ball after giving their word lol.

I am sending my application with only 6 of the pre-requisites, if I score an 85 or 91+ HESI I will have either 73 or 78 point going in. have anyone ever got in with 73 points? I'm taking nutrition and Psy this fall but it wont count towards my application.

I am applying 1st Collier, 2 LEE 3 LEE P/T

Each term is different, but I have heard of individuals getting in with those scores. Unfortunately, I don't think that the Spring term actually has part time as an option though.Good luck!!! :)

Hello, is anyone applying to the transition program? Just interested to see how many are applying. I was looking at some of threads for fsw fall 2015 and someone was given a spot for the regular nursing program because not many applied for fall transition.

Thank you, so I guess 1) Collier 2) Lee because charlotte will be too far from me I live in Naples. also anyone in a HESI group review preferably Collier campus that I can join in, I am so nervous about that test no matter how much I study I still feel unprepare:banghead:

HI! So for my application, I just completed all my prereqs, but I know many people have applied and have been accepted to the nursin gprogram without completing all nine. It just means less point basically. But I always hear that Spring semester is less competitive.

Also, I took the HESI once and I was super nervous! But honestly, it isnt THAT bad. For me personally, I could've gone over some more Biology and reading comprehension. I scored an 85.33. I think the best tip is to study go through practice tests and review a little bit of everything. If you start studying now, you can focus on one section a week (which I need to start doing lol).

BTW, there is no physics or chem on the HESI, heyyyy lol :)

Hi Jesula,

I am keep hearing that we can't use any scratch paper on HESI, is it so?

How hard is math part without paper and a pencil? I just can't imagine it, as I have to write down almost everything to understand and solve :)

Forgot to ask about calculator - is it there all the time or on certain problems?

Yep. No scratch paper unfortunately. And there's a little tiny calculator at the corner of the screen for the duration of the test on all section lol. And it's annoying to to the math (lot's of fractions- improper and mixed!). But it's definitely doable! Trust me. You kinda have to remember numbers here and there, and remember your steps in the problems to not add the wrong things. But you'll be fine :)
