Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.
Who is joining me next fall in nursing?
I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.
I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.
I can only take the drug test on Monday which is the deadline day also.. I wonder if that'll be okay
I am also taking my drug test on Monday. Technically, I think the deadline is for registration only. I would still make sure everything is completed by then just in case. So, I think we'll be fine having it done on Monday.

it says June 15th the deadline to register for the drug test/ background check... I don't think that's the deadline to have the actual drug test and background check completed... So you're totally fine taking it tomorrow. :)
My e-mail doesn't contain that sentence "If you would like to be considered for the above program please continue in the process." I guess different e-mails were sent out. How does one know if they were selected or waitlisted? This is what mine says:
"Thank you for your interest in the Nursing Program at Florida SouthWestern State College. We are happy to inform you that your application has been selected to advance to the next phase of consideration for admission! This was a very competitive application cycle for fall 2015.
Your application is being considered for admission to the Associate in Science in Nursing Degree (ASN) program at the Lee Campus in the Entry-Level Nursing Program.
What Do I Do Next?
The next step is completion of the Level 2 background check (Florida and National search by fingerprint scan) and Ten-Panel urine drug screen through CertifiedBackground.com. Complete instructions for registering for drug screen and fingerprint scan are attached. "

Mine might have been slightly different because I applied for the transitions program and there weren't enough applications to fill the transitions program at either campuses, so they stated that in the email they sent me. They offered me a seat in the lee day entry level program and if I want to accept and move along then I can continue by registering @ certified profile and doing the background/drug screen.

Okay. That makes more sense to me. I imagine then that most of us received the same e-mail with slight variation in what program.
Has anyone else completed all the requirements but still have an incomplete next to the finger prints requirement? I did mine on 06/08/15 and also accessed the site to enter the date they were completed so everything on my end is done I'm guessing it takes a little more time for the fingerprints to be processed? I really wish Grissom would get on the ball here!

I looked at all the books required from fall schedule and I purchased them as ebooks and I am already starting to read pharmacology book. I would like to get a head start on that and know some basic medications.
Part time classmates, according to school schedule, there looks to be two days a week. Mon or Tues and Thurs, which day are you guys picking? I am thinking Tues because of course it gives me a an extra day to study especially after a busy weekend.
Yeah I'm going to register for tuesday as well, works better for my schedule at the clinic. When do you think they will allow us to start to register for those classes?

Where are you finding the schedule? I looked at my portal and don't see anything...
