FSW Fall 2016 Nursing Applicants

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a thread for those of us that are planning on applying to the nursing program for fall 2016. We can post about studying for the HESI/TEASE. FSW has changed from the HESI beginning Febuary 2016, so those of you that haven't already taken it you must take the HESI before Febuary 1st. If not you will need to plan on studying for the TEASE. Application deadline is May 15th. We can post about our points, most of you know what that consist of. Students are admitted off from a point system, the higher the points the better chance you have of being selected for the program. Our points is based off how many prerequisites we have taken upon application, our gpa for those prerequisites we have taken. And finally our HESI or TEASE score. For those of you that haven't taken the HESI or TEASE we can plan a study group either online or in person. I'm a in my final class required to apply (AP I), in another school. I will have 7 courses completed upon application so that gives me 29 points for that. I have not taken the HESI yet so I don't know my points for that yet. I haven't been able to figure out my final gpa yet because I'm in this last course. But I hope to get to know some of you and I hope one day we will even be in class together!

So I see that the background and drug test registration is due June 20th but it doesn't say when the actual results are due . Does anyone know?

my guess is to just have it done by the 20th. They knew what they were doing when they sent the emails out at 3:00 on a Friday. Now we are forced to hold our questions til Monday lol

Howdy all,

I just got back home from doing fingerprints..easy process. From what I can tell, the form said you much register for the background check, finger prints, and drug screening by June 20th. Personally, I am going to bust it all out ASAP. I hope you all are getting through the process swimmingly. :)

Yep guess so. I wonder when they'll send out the letters of being accepted after the background check and stuff

Got into the Charlotte program! Does anyone know what the full time day program consists of? Is it everyday, all day? Are all clinicals at the hospital closest to that campus? I live in Naples.

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like its everyday but we will probably get more info during an orientation I'm assuming

So I talked to Wendy and she wasn't sure exactly the date the stuff is due but she is thinking between the 24th-27th of June

I didn't get in. I applied with 72 points with my first choice being Collier then Lee.
