FSW Fall 2016 Nursing Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a thread for those of us that are planning on applying to the nursing program for fall 2016. We can post about studying for the HESI/TEASE. FSW has changed from the HESI beginning Febuary 2016, so those of you that haven't already taken it you must take the HESI before Febuary 1st. If not you will need to plan on studying for the TEASE. Application deadline is May 15th. We can post about our points, most of you know what that consist of. Students are admitted off from a point system, the higher the points the better chance you have of being selected for the program. Our points is based off how many prerequisites we have taken upon application, our gpa for those prerequisites we have taken. And finally our HESI or TEASE score. For those of you that haven't taken the HESI or TEASE we can plan a study group either online or in person. I'm a in my final class required to apply (AP I), in another school. I will have 7 courses completed upon application so that gives me 29 points for that. I have not taken the HESI yet so I don't know my points for that yet. I haven't been able to figure out my final gpa yet because I'm in this last course. But I hope to get to know some of you and I hope one day we will even be in class together!

There is another person on here from Lehigh and plans on applying for lee campus. I am a little far from you.

Hello all, I am also applying for the Fall 2016 class. I am doing the part time program so I will be at the Lee Campus. Super nervous about the HESI/TEAS but I have all pre-reqs. done. Just need to study up a bit.

I've also taken all my prerequisite, it's been a while since I've taken any mathematics or science courses. Have you started to study?

Hello! I am also applying for fall. I have all of my pre-reqs completed. I'm wondering if the points will be calculated the same. Wish they gave more information. I take the TEAS January 11th. If I do poorly I will take the HESI before February 1st. Good luck to you all. I am applying for Charlotte as first choice

Hey all. I also plan on appyling for the fall term. I have all my prerequisites completed. I would be applying to their transition program since I am an LPN. I have started studying for the Teas exam. I have the study guide and I use the apps

I was wondering the same thing since they will no longer be offering the HESI. I was going to try and take it before February as well but I would have to travel to take it since FSW doesn't offer it anymore. They said they would post more information about the TEAS transition in January.

I am just beginning to study! I don't know where to begin. I'm just reading the whole study guide I guess.

I just feel like instead of trying to study for both, I would rather spend all my time studying for the Teas and passing it. I have been looking at the FSW website daily to see if the Teas test info has been updated

Hello all , i am also planning on applying for the fall 2k16 term. I have already taken the hesi once and only got an 83 so i am taking it again on the 30th. Does anyone know if they allow you to mix and match scores for the exam?

Hi everyone. I plan to try and take the Hesi before time runs out as well. I heard that the TEAS is a harder test, as opposed to the Hesi. If anyone wants to study ( fort myers campus) let me know and we can form a study group on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, times to be determined later. Let me know if this works for anyone!! I'd like to start this week even so let's try to start right away.

Is there any places in lee county you can take the hesi?
