Hello everyone,
I wanted to create a thread for those of us that are planning on applying to the nursing program for fall 2016. We can post about studying for the HESI/TEASE. FSW has changed from the HESI beginning Febuary 2016, so those of you that haven't already taken it you must take the HESI before Febuary 1st. If not you will need to plan on studying for the TEASE. Application deadline is May 15th. We can post about our points, most of you know what that consist of. Students are admitted off from a point system, the higher the points the better chance you have of being selected for the program. Our points is based off how many prerequisites we have taken upon application, our gpa for those prerequisites we have taken. And finally our HESI or TEASE score. For those of you that haven't taken the HESI or TEASE we can plan a study group either online or in person. I'm a in my final class required to apply (AP I), in another school. I will have 7 courses completed upon application so that gives me 29 points for that. I have not taken the HESI yet so I don't know my points for that yet. I haven't been able to figure out my final gpa yet because I'm in this last course. But I hope to get to know some of you and I hope one day we will even be in class together!
I met with my academic advisor on Monday and they just told me and gave me a printed paper with the new requirements. I recommend trying to meet with your advisor. I have noticed fsw is not good at updating their site. I am still waiting on the TEAS test dates to be posted. And they switched the deadline on taking the hesi from February to January 2016.
Yes they did. BUT i spoke with the dean of nursing yesterday. They are will to honor their initial post that said prior to February. So double check with the Dean let her know you saw it up there and you want to take the Hesi. She asured me that they will still accept Hesi exams taken this month
I also heard about the Statistic change. At the time that I heard it, I already had taken both courses and didn't bat an eye. I heard it a little while ago. As far as studying goes, I'm still up for it. Let me know what time works for you. I'm near the fort myers campus. We can meet up at the library.

I am also applying for fall 2016. I would like full time either at the Collier or Lee campus. I am slightly nervous because my stat grade from years ago is bringing down my gpa. If I get in the 90's in the teas I will end up with around 83-85 points. Do you guys think that may be enough to get in? I know each semester it all depends on how many points everyone else has.
