I haven't seen a thread started for FSU ABSN in literally years (2014 was the last ABSN I've seen from FSU) and since we are in the middle of the application period, I thought I would begin it now.
I am currently taking Pathophysiology online at Butler Community College in Kansas because it was on the list of schools the FSU Nursing advisor said was preapproved to take.
Has everyone submitted their transcripts via snail mail?
Hi, My name is Ann'Dreus. I was told a while ago that they are changing the start date from Spring to Summer. The deadline to apply to the university is in April and the deadline to apply to the program is August 15th.
Any helpful hints on the interview process or how competitive the program is??
Any joining for Summer 2021?

Thank you for that clarification. Have you finished the program or are you currently in the program?

Congratulations on approaching graduation! I just have a few more questions I'd like to ask. Was it difficult getting accepted as far as your GPA, essay, etc? What was the interview process like and do you have any helpful hints to those applying in the Spring?
You have to have a 3.2 to apply, and a grade of a B - in all your prerequisite courses to apply. They have made it harder to get in since I applied because they had a high retention rate this year in the program.
When I applied I had a 3.5 and an A in all of the prerequisites. However their were people that got accepted that had lower GPAs. The interview process wasn’t scary at all! They ask very generic questions (like why do you want to be a nurse, tell me about yourself, etc). Just be yourself and breathe, that is the biggest thing! On my resume I also shadowed a couple nurses, so that can be helpful too. Just so they see that you know what a nurse does.
