You have to have a 3.2 to apply, and a grade of a B - in all your prerequisite courses to apply. They have made it harder to get in since I applied because they had a high retention rate this year in the program. When I applied I had a 3.5 and an A in all of the prerequisites. However their were people that got accepted that had lower GPAs. The interview process wasn’t scary at all! They ask very generic questions (like why do you want to be a nurse, tell me about yourself, etc). Just be yourself and breathe, that is the biggest thing! On my resume I also shadowed a couple nurses, so that can be helpful too. Just so they see that you know what a nurse does.

Hi Ann'Dreus, you are correct. I believe the class of 2020 is the last class that will be from January to December. The classes after that will be from summer to fall. They are changing up the schedule to be a year and 6 weeks instead of 1 year.

You won't be able to apply again for FSU until the 2020 cohort for spring if you weren't already accepted for spring 2019.

Hey Angie! I think we are all a little nervous. I get married the day after the interview so the added stress doesn't help lol. But I have been re-reading the FSU nursing statement since I am sure they will ask something about how it applies to you. Also why you want to be a nurse would be wise to know

I got the email today that I was selected for an interview for the 2019 ABSN program! Do you remember what kind of questions they asked you at the interview? I am really excited and nervous and want to be prepared.

What kind of questions did they ask you at the interview for the ASBN? Also how many people did they invite to the interview versus who they accepted??
