FSU Accelerated BSN 2014 Applicants

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone! Has anyone else applied to Florida State University's accelerated nursing program?

I would say a one bedroom apartment. It's only 3 semesters. I wouldn't enjoy living in a house alone. I feel safer in apartments. You can find one bedrooms in town for $500+. Good luck to you all!

really? I've been doing a lot of research and it seems like the $500/mo apartments are pretty crappy or in crappy places. I must not be looking in the right areas. I've tried both Craigslist and Zillow. Also, I am not looking to live in a party area.

$500-600 are in the college side of town so you may not be into that. If you go to the quieter side (north side) then you will be looking at pricier places.

I havent a received an email yet, but I was wondering when you guys go to FSU Check my application status are you guys seeing anything with a status update there?

Yes that is where the email links you to when you open it.

For those of you who haven't received emails yet are you transfer students? It may be that the transfer students will be receiving theirs later a little later than former fsu students?

I am a transfer student.. I just dont see anything when I check my application its not saying anything about a denial or an acceptance.

Yea it may work differently with transfer students. I would just keep checking both your email and regular postal mail.

I'm a xfer student. I talked to Carlos yesterday and he said they're waiting to update the online status until after we've received our letters.

Well I got a message staying my FSU admission was denied so I would say that means no FSU nursing school for me. Good luck everyone!!!
I got an email from Melinda Batton this morning that made it sound like we could still be accepted to the nursing program. Did you get that email? What do you think? I still have no idea why I wouldn't have been readmitted. I have excellent grades and a good track record with the university. I am so puzzled... it must be a mistake. I tried contacting the Dean's office to ask but it kept ringing and ringing with no opportunity to leave a message.

Yeah the best thing seems to be to just wait for the official letter.

So I spoke with general admissions to ask about the email I received about the change and they said that it looks like the status update that was made come from the nursing program. I was told that general admissions decisions are made based off rolling admission. Even knowing this I would still wait on letters because you never know and they may not have updated everything yet.
