FSCJ Summer 2016

Hello everyone. I haven't seen a post for the Summer term 2016 so I figured I would post. I applied to the Spring semester but didn't get in. I am retaking the HESI at the end of Nov and resubmitting my app for Summer term and if that fails too then Fall 2016. It's frustrating but I am working towards it! I will have my AA degree in December. Who else is applying for Summer or Fall term?

I did. There weren't a lot of us there. It wasn't very informative at all honestly. We sat in a room and basically let us know to just improve on our hesi, and she gave us back our application to look it over. It was kind of pointless lol

I got a 79.50% on the HESI and have a 3.47 GPA I'm not sure that I'll get in this time. I was just curios as to the average scores and GPA of those that were accepted into the program.

GPA is not considered when determining who will be accepted into the program. Your grades are calculated into points as well as your HESI and that's the numbers that are used.

Lol! That doesn't surprise me at all. Should have asked her how do you improve your grades if you can't re take courses🙄

I know right. I am going back and forth with fscj trying to figure out a way to retake classes. An advisor told me that they will allow me to retake them if they have a letter from the nursing program stating I need to retake those classes in order to improve my score and get into the program. But I doubt they would do that. But it doesn't hurt to ask so I'm gonna email ms James

So I got the call that enough people declined their seat and they offered me a seat. Unfortunately it is for days and I just can't quit my job to go to school. I wish there was someone that would be willing to change with me but the likelihood of that happening is slim. I am going tomorrow to talk to her and turn in my application for summer. It kills me to have to give up my seat because it wasn't for nights. The best news ever turned into the biggest disappointment.
