Hi everyone, well I'm starting this convo so we all can get an idea of who, what, when, and where with FSCJ. Good topics would include testing materials, the average ranking of points for the upcoming term, and any other useful ideas that will help us all get into to this crazy hard nursing program! :) So, lets see if we can help each other out....and it's kinda fun to talk about nursing as well :)

Congratulations everyone! Just wanted to stop back by to wish you well on your nursing school adventure.

Hello, I am new to this blog but not this website by far. I have been interested in becoming a Nurse since I graduated HS in 1999, but am now just finishing all of my classes to apply. I know many of you are getting all of your much needed items checked off your lists to start your program in a few months but would someone please answer a question for me. I will graduate from FSCJ in May 2013. I am going to take Micro over the summer because the points from this class will help me. The application I have and the deadline date on the FSCJ website are conflicting. Does anyone know which deadlines are correct? If I go by the website for spring term it is saying the deadline is (Oct 1). I will be able to apply for the Spring 2014 term if this is true, but if I go by the application I have (it says updated October 2012), I have an application deadline of (August 1). If this is true, I will have to apply for the Summer 2014 term. Does anyone know which one is accurate? It's spring break and I can't call the school but if no one answers, I will on Monday. Thank you!

Fall-- Feb1-April1

Spring-- June1-August1

Summer-- October1-December1

I would call the nursing office and double-check. I know they were trying to move the deadlines up (which is why you see August instead of October) but I think there was so much uproar from people because they couldn't apply for the semester after they finished their pre-reqs because they wouldn't be done with them in time that they moved the deadlines back to the old ones (which would mean still October). Call them to be certain - that way you have it straight from them!!

Thanks lucy2811. I can understand the uproar, especially with the end of the semester being days away from the deadline date. I will call on Monday. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I hope to be in your shoes next year, Good Luck to you and everyone who was accepted for Summer!

Am currently living in Orlando, but relocating to Jacksonville with the intent of starting FSCJ in the Fall. I hope all of you from the previous post will start the program in summer as plan. I would love some feed back on the NAT what to focus on or just any info that will help to make the application process easier. Best of luck everyone ,and keep chasing your dreams. :sneaky:

If you look back through (more towards the beginning of) this thread there were a few of us who posted websites, resources, etc. regarding the NAT. Don't stress it too much, it's not that bad. The main thing you need to be prepared for is the time (or lack thereof).
