FSCJ Nursing - Spring 2016

Hello!

I haven't seen a thread for FSCJ Spring 2016, so I thought I'd start one. Who all is planning on applying for this term start? If anyone is in the program already, any advice??

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but was curious what would be a good score to to get in fscj nursing program. Also, is GPA considered in the selection of students for the program.

@sheerees99, it's all about the point system. How many points you get for your prerequisites and your points you received for your scores on the HESI. Have you received the nursing packet showing how to calculate your scores? Have you taken the HESI yet? They do look at your GPA but the main deciding factor is your points. They choose the students with the higher points first.

I've heard that you can breath if your points total 190+. Stalking the boards will show that 184+ is typical for admittance. Somebody said that this Fall's cutoff was pretty low @165.

I got in this Fall (Evening/Weekend) with a 193.5

Ok, well I'm sitting a 192, so I'm skeptical that it may not be enough points.

I took the hesi, got an 80 I think to retake it so my points can be in the 200s. Did you take it I'm at 192. I applying for the spring 2016.

Honestly, I think your 192 will get you into the program. If it were 10 pts less I'd retake it.

192 is pretty good. That should get you in. I'm planning on taking the HESI next month. I wanted to give myself a good month to study for it while I don't have any classes.

How long after the deadline did you get your acceptance packet?

We got our packets this Monday. The deadline to apply was April 1. Nearly 10 weeks!

That's a good idea, so you can focus on the test. .... I thought it was ok...simple especially if you took biology and anatomy before.....good luck
