I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

That's what I was wondering too. I talked to another student and they said go in and try them on at a uniform place and then try to order it based on that...?

I am in N/W. From what I read in the paperwork we have to purchase everything before December 6th. That's what Meridy's said when I called too, but then if they are going to be at orientation to take our orders, that's after the 6th so....??? Yeah confusing. lol

I know...the 6TH ?!?!?!?! I said the same thing...I ended up just guessing the best I could from the size chart...what part of town are you on? Maybe we could meet up..

Specializes in Peds.

I ran into three fellow RN classmates running errands today. :)

you ordered ur uniforms? how did you know what size, or if they are sized correctly? just wondering...

i used the size chart....i was thinking that we needed to go by the dec 6th date vs. waiting on them at orientation with everyone else. (i've heard - and don't quote me - that we don't need the white uniforms until the second half of the term...so i was thinking if i didn't like the pants, i can return them or even go buy more. it was more of a personal choice.)

i'm sure that orientation is going to be nightmare simply because of the number of students.... and all of us have a million questions, so i just felt like i'd be better off to order according to the charts and take my chances. the khaki pants was my only real worry because they are a more snug fit than scrubs. i actually purchased them from old navy during the black friday sale for $19each.

Be careful with that....my daughter wears a different size in every different brand of scrubs...they are truly all made differently. I would suggest going by the size chart for now.

I don't have insurance but I went to Northside Medical clinic yesterday and got my drug test done, my titers for MMR and Varicella, my immunization for TDAP and my PPD test foor a grand total of $148, so it really wasn't that bad. I go back tomorrow for them to read the PPD test and then I go back next week to get the titers results and the physical. They kept the physical form and wrote on it what I had done. She said when I come back next week and if the results are positive then they will complete the physical and give me my original form back. I feel a lot better today knowing that I got most of my stuff done yesterday.

I am surprised I didn't see you because I did all that too! What a great feeling!! :)

I am on Southside and Baymeadows.

I was there around 3:00pm. It didn't take very long but I met like 4 or 5 other RN students there! lol

Yeah that's true. I'll check out the size chart this weekend and try to get my order in. :)

Specializes in none.

I'm done with everything except getting my lab results and turning everything in - I'll probably be doing that Friday. Stat-Line was out of badge holders, so I'll buy one at orientation.

My shoulders are pretty sore from the flu shot and the TDAP vaccination. I really hope I don't need any more shots.

Hello everyone. I am a spring 2011 first term with y'all. I have run into a few folks in the class running errands this week. I have actually already done and completed first term once. In 2007, I finished and passed everything in first term and decided I didn't want to do this yet. I went and became a white water rafting guide for 3 rafting seasons, finished up my BS in Psych at UNF and grew up a little and decided this is actually what I want to do. With that being said, I know a little about how first term went in 2007. I was an experimental class where we had Pharm all online, which was no good at all.

As far as the orientation, I saw someone say it is probably chaos. I didn't think it was that bad. They explain stuff and then a lot of people have the same questions or overlapping questions so they eventually get answered. I may be able to answer a few questions and I look forward to meeting you all next week!

Ive got eveything done administration wise except waiting on my titers to come back, they told me they would be back Monday so I will probably turn all that in Tuesday. I'll go by and get my badge made then. Stat-Line is going to hold a skills kit for me when they come in along with a stethescope, I'll pick that up Tuesday. I am still trying to find out about the uniforms. Work Source was absolutely no help for me.
