FSCJ/FCCJ spring 2011 hopefuls

Published

I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

I would imagine they would want this done before thanksgiving since there are only 2 work days after it. Cmon Cmon

Well if you think about that would make the best sense , because they still have to sift through those that are giving up their seats, get everyone through physicals, the new term starts in Jan and then they are out mid Dec, so basically they have to have it wrapped about by then?? I would be almost confident that it will be next and the next, it looks like in the past they go out in waves, so we shall see. Its not as long as it has been, troops...."wax on wax off"........Good Luck to all....:uhoh3:

I am not even in the pool but I am anxious to hear what happens next...I read this thread every day waiting to see some good news. I wish you all the best and hope each of you is accepted. ;)

Im the same way! Even if we didnt apply this term, it still affects us because it will give us a good idea of what to expect point wise for us next term.

Im challenging the CNA exam of wednesday. EEK  Im pretty nervous!

And happy veterans day and thatnk you to all our military families and veterans on here!

Im proud to be married to a former US Marine who served in Iraq!

Im also a proud sister to 2 members of the military, one who is serving over seas right now. Im a proud Army daughter and granddaughter!

K Nurse,

Challenging the CNA exam doesnt benefit you in any with FSCj , correct. I know at SJRCC it will ....

AAhh yes, the Marines. My dad is retired from the Marines and served in WW11, he was part of the original amphibious landing force at Guada Canal in which he recieved a purple heart. he was one of the few that made it out alive from there.

He says now that wasnt even the worse battle he was in, just the most publicized...We owe a great debt to all the military men and women who protect our country from harms way each and every day.....

I know it doesnt, I just want to get some experience and make some money to pay for school

Thats wonderful about your dad, we owe a great debt to all the soldiers past and present!

You had me sweating profusely for a fleeting moment thinking there were possible points I had missed trying for..thanks for answering back....have a great holiday...

The formula for the NAT is your academic aptitude score, reading comp, and science added together and multiplied by .64.

The points for your grades are what your grade is (A=4, B=3, etc) multiplied by the number of credit hours. So if you got an A in BSC2085, then the points for that class are 16. If you got a B in humanities, your points are 9. Add up your points for A&P, micro, math, DEP, humanities, english, psy, and syg. Then add what you got for your grades with your NAT and there you have it. :)

Can you ladies phatom how many calls they answer each day

Hehehe... that would be "fathom". (And the answer would be none. Have you ever tried calling the FSCJ Nursing Department? Now THAT is one black hole of a telephone number!)

and I thought it [NAT] was a test of endurance too.

Ha! Anyone who thinks the NAT is a test of endurance will not make it through Term I of nursing school. Now THAT is a test of endurance. (The NAT is not.)

Well "Charlie" good to see you made it....thanks for the corrections....I hope you'll stick around and correct any future errors I make...I'll certainly rest easier knowing you've got my back now...Happy Veterans Day...

No problemo. I'm almost through Term I so I would be glad to answer any questions.
