Frustration!!

Does anyone else go to community college and have a 2 year waiting list??? its soo frustrating to think about how long the process is! i was considering moving out of california finding out that other states dont have such a long wait (such as arizona). Im almost done with those 3 wonderful science classes all i have is micro-bio, already completed a&p 1/2. anyone have suggestions or should i just wait on the list?! :nuke: good luck everyone!!

The BSN program didn't have a wait and the ADN had a 2-3 year wait. I chose to go the BSN route. I will be done with my BSN degree very soon, if I had gone the ADN route I would be starting the program in the next couple of weeks.

I am 39,000 in debt for the BSN, it would have been 14,000 for the ADN. It seems like more money but when I considered the fact that I would be in the workforce at least two years sooner the BSN made sense. I am lowballing my salary and saying that I will make 40,000 a year. 40,000X 2 years is 80,000. The difference between what I owe and what I would have owed at the CC college is 25,000. Getting my BSN and not being waitlisted I still come out 55,000 ahead.

I am also glad that I went the BSN route, because I know that I am going to pursue my Master's Degree someday (need a break right now ).

Good luck in your decision!

Moving here to Arizona might not be a bad plan. The Mesa Community Colleges look like they have a two semester wait right now, if I'm reading it right. See here: http://web1.dist.maricopa.edu/CFIDE/docs/hcies/placementWtBd.cfm

Central Arizona College -- I know someone who just graduated from there and they had NO wait at all (but that would have been two years ago, plus they only start Fall of each year, not each semester).
