Frustrated..... needing references

  • Guides

I have an interview tomorrow for a job that, while not what I would call my "dream" job.. it's still a facility that I really enjoyed working for when I worked as an agency nurse, and I have wanted a full time job there for quite some time. There are a lot of opportunities for me to advance in this organization, and I can see myself working there until retirement.

Here's the problem; I don't have ANY references and the interview is TOMORROW. They all have to be "former supervisors"; I can't just use former coworkers. I have one supervisor in my CURRENT job that is willing to provide a reference and she has given me her contact information. This is the job that I'm planning to leave. I have another supervisor at that same job who I'm sure would be willing to provide a reference. I have a friend who used to work over me as a charge nurse; not sure if I could use her or not but I may have to. I have contacted a couple of people who have not contacted me back; one of them was actually my supervisor at the very place where I'm applying. We had a good relationship, but her boyfriend is a former friend of mine who I can no longer stand and I've even blocked him on Facebook, so I don't know if there's something personal going on there, and that's why she hasn't contacted me back giving me the "okay" to use her. =(

Any advice?? Thanks.

Yeah, I think I've got a pretty decent list put together now. Thanks. =)
