FRUSTRATED!!! need info on NJBON ATT process Please Help....

Published

Hi All!

I posted a question a couple of weeks ago about the ATT process in NJ...

Well after all these months waiting for an ATT, I found out last week by calling the BON that they either misplaced the "Letter of Completion" or my school never sent it!!! I was so upset I wanted to cry :-(( (what a set-back along with more stress before I test)

I drove 45 mins to the school to check on the matter, after telling my story to the administrator He sent another completion letter to the BON (Fed-ex overnight) and I receive a receipt today that someone from the Board signed for it.

My question now is: how long will it take now for me to get my ATT??? Only thing that was missing was the completion letter...(according to the BON)

I'm registered and paid with Pearson vue

My application is processed

My status on the online BON registry says pending

Any info given will be truly appreciated!!

Once my school sent out everything it took them like a day to review it. But I kept calling them. When I called and they saw that everything was good to go they told me I would get the ATT in 24h via email (otherwise they'd have to mail it to you). I got it in like 20 mins. I would call them before the weekend to check on your status. I'm not in NJ but its what I did. Others in my class didn't get their ATT for another 2 weeks at least!

i think these folks are just lazy or dont want to do their work....called for mine in GA, i was told we have received all the required papers but it takes 25 days to process HUh?:down: can be so discouraging, but keep calling them sometimes it takes calling them everyday..they should be able to send you the ATT any day, patiently waiting on mine:rolleyes:

Hey All!!!!

I received my ATT in my email on Tues(2-21) NJBON finally received my completion letter on (2-14) I'm so excited!! I scheduled my exam for early March...

I'm glad you got your ATT. That's exactly what happened to me. Last year I applied at the beginning of May. I was calling every week to see what the status was and they kept telling me that "my letter of completion hadn't been processed yet" and that it took 10-14 days. I kept calling and asking and they just kept repeating the same thing. Finally I demanded to talk to someone in the processing department and learned the next day that they didn't have my letter of completion either (even though I KNOW my school had sent it). So I had them overnight another one by certified mail. It wasn't until late June that I got my ATT.

The New Jersey system is terrible and takes forever. The people working in the call center do not know the system and the departments do not communicate at all. It's awful, but they don't really seem to care.

happy for you..good luck on your nclex exam:).

Thanx Frankie,RN!!

WoW!! @AshleyPICU, RN

sounds like you're in the state of NJ! I had the same problem getting my ATT.

OMGoodness the back & fourthness almost drove me crazy!

I feel so much better now knowing I'm less than 3wks from testing, I'm so nervous but most of all I just want to get it over....

Glad to hear everything is in line for you to take the test. Not having that ATT mustve caused more anxiety. I can honestly say the NJ BON must be one of the worst/laziest in north america. you just need to be persistent with them, never take NO as an answer. I just wish the faculty at the center are more knowledgeable and actually have more experience in dealing with the whole "nursing" experience, so they can atleast relate...
