Frontier WHNP

Published

Hi everyone

I'm looking for some insight to this program. I am looking to apply for class 148 to start in 2016. I have a 3.6 GPA and 3 years experience in L&D. I am BLS, ACLS, NRP certified as well as CEU's in breastfeeding. I don't have much else to add to my resume. I feel like it doesn't contain enough. Has anyone else applied with a similar resume? Anyone else applying to class?

Thanks in advance

Who all did you use for references? I have one more to fill. I'm in between a great co worker who is now a WHNP, or one of my great attending OB/GYN. Do you all think one is at more advantage than the other? Or doesn't really matter?

I used a manager, my primary investigator from my research project and the clinical director from the NGO I work with. I would lean towards the WHNP but I bet either one would be great. :)

I used a former co-worker, who just graduated with her DNP from Frontier, a doc I have worked with for 15 yrs, and a former director, who is now teaching. From what I hear, they like to hear from another NP who has worked with you if possible. *can't remember who told me that, but have it stuck in the back of my head somewhere*

Thanks for the replies I've also heard An NP would be preferred so just double checking

Anyone else from Texas applying? Or know of anyone that has completed the program and able to be licensed to practice in Texas? I recently heard not all schools meet certain state's requirements to practice. Just wondering if this is correct?

I am licensed to practice in Texas. My ADN school was in Minnesota though. Will finish my BSN through Grand Canyon Uni in Arizona.

My application packet is turned in, so time will tell in respect to admission to FNU.....

Have any of you received acceptance notification for 148?
